All my Curly Horses offspring have been sired by my stud horse "Joe". Joe is a BLM Curly Horse I adopted a while back. He is a super horse and embodies all the great qualities of a Curly Horse. He is gentle , calm, curious and super friendly. Wild off the range I was petting him in two days! Joe have produced some great foals. All the hardiness of a mustang with the great qualities of a curly!

I have some foals available and also some bred mares check out my sales section. Have fun looking around:)

ABOUT

Curly horses have been depicted throughout history but where they originated is still unknown. Native Americans referred to them as Buffalo Horses and were prized for the same great qualities they posses today. Curly Horses are quite rare.

Curly Horses are characterized by their curly mane, tail and wavy winter coat. They develop a thick wavy winter coat which they shed out in the summer. Many curlies will also shed out their mane, my stallion "Joe" sheds his mane in the summer. Definitely something you don't see every day. The gene responsible for the curly hair of my curly horses along with most other is a dominant trait. There are some curly horses that are recessive curlies but my herd is of the dominant form.

Special Note: Curly Horses hair is soft and is hypoallergenic. Most people allergic to horses are not allergic to Curly Horses.

Along with their curly appearance curly horses also have calm, gentle, friendly nature. I think this is what I love most! They also tend to have a more heavily muscled and stout appearance. Take a look at my stallion and you will see what I mean. They look rough and tough but are gentle, steady sweethearts.
